James A. "Jim" Coleman of Calvary Ridge Road died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Rockcastle County Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was 75.

Born in Casey County on Feb. 25, 1932, he was the son of the late Ransom and Myrtle Spears Coleman.

He was a farmer and attended Grove Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include seven sisters, Mae Raney, Sylvia Yates and Nancy Pittman, all of Yosemite, Shirley Rayborn and Viola Sallee, both of Middleburg, and Gerldine Woods and Pauline Wright, both of Liberty; two brothers, Paul and George Coleman, both of Yosemite; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Coyle Coleman.

Funeral services were April 10 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Bro. C.B. Carman. Burial was in Durham Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brent Raney, Danny Sallee, Josh Emerson, Anthony Benedict, Brian Wright and Jack Woods.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Raney and George Coleman.
