Astoria - Thomas E. Curless, 63, of Astoria died at 7:25 p.m. Saturday at Beardstown hospital.

He was a member of Astoria Christian church and Astoria American Legion and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired supervisor from Astoria Fibrasteel co. Born June 23, 1917, in Astoria to Harley and Josie Horton Curless, he married Viola April 25, 1966, at Lewistown. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Thomas M. of Marquette Heights and Phillip of Cuba; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Darlene Baker of Browning; one sister, Mrs. Susan Heflin of Astoria; one brother, Joe of Astoria; one grandchild and three step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery, with military rites at graveside conducted by Astoria American Legion. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to Astoria Christian Church.
