FORMER DIETICIAN, MARGARET HUNT, DIES IN VIRGINIA

Mrs. Margaret C. Stone Hunt of Richmond, Va., a Blount County native and sister of Daily Times Editor Dean Stone, died Tuesday at a Richmond hospital. She was 65.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Friday at Smith Mortuary in Maryville, with services following at 8 p.m. and burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery.
Mrs. Hunt graduated from Everett High School and earned a bachelor's degree in home economics from Maryville College in 1950. She completed post-graduate work as a dietician at Vanderbilt University.
She worked at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee and St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville before marrying Henry Hunt Jr. and moving to Richmond in 1972. She worked at Richmond Memorial Hospital as a dietician for eight years before her affliction with multiple sclerosis made her unable to work.
She had served as president of both the Knoxville and the Tennessee units of the American Dietetic Association.
In addition to her husband and brother, Mrs. Hunt is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Stone Purviance and Jerry Purviance of Maryville,as well as a nephew, four great nephews and numerous cousins, all in the Blount County area.
