Anna was born on December 1st, 1882 in Champion, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and her christening took place there. Anna's father was Daniel Edwin Pletcher and her mother was Martha Miller (Pletcher). Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Pletcher and Elizabeth Nedrow (Pletcher). She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jeremiah, Clark, Irwin, Iva and Laura. She was the fifth oldest of the six known children. She died at the age of 87 on April 7th, 1970 in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, USA. Her burial was at the Mount Nebo Cemetery, Champion, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Anna E. Solomn, 87, of Champion, died Tuesday morning in Scottdale.  Born Dec. 1, 1882, in Champion, she was a daughter of the late Daniel E. and Martha Miller Pletcher.  She was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren and the Gleaners' Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Solomon, and four sons, Vernon, Howard, Orville and Beryle.  Surviving are one son, J.D. Solomon of Fairless, Illis; five daughters, Mrs. Lepha Barclay of Melcroft, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Moore of Scottdale, Mrs. Verda Nelson of Henderson, Nev., Mrs. Dwight (Martha) Skinner of Champion and Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Matheny of Fairfax, Va.,; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jeremiah Pletcher of Rockwood RD, and one sister, Mrs. Laura Terwilliger of Acme
