She was the only child of Carl Willard Ridgeway and Mary Martha Sunafrank. She graduated from high school and University of Berkeley, California. Janey lived in San Diego, California where she married and had children. For many years she enjoyed working as a nurse for Doctors Peppard, Halloran, and Small in Dallas, Texas.
Upon retirement she traveled extensively worldwide and lived with her family in Montana, Ohio and Texas. Deep-sea fishing was her passionate hobby. She had her picture in the San Diego newspaper for reeling in a very large marlin using yellowtail line. Canned and smoked yellowtail tuna was a favorite. Her table never lacked fresh fish for dinner.
She is survived by daughter Martha Watson, residence of Dallas, Texas and son Karl Swab and his wife Roxanne, residence of Arlee, Montana. Also survived by loving grandsons Demian and Phaedrus Swab. Great-grandchildren, Maria, Autumn, Elaina, Dallas, and Aidan. Great, great grandchild, Marina. All reside in Arlee, Montana.

Janey's service will in Jackson, Ohio on May 16th, 2013 where she will be laid to rest next to her mother and father.
