Funeral service will be held today for Pete Ernest Covington, 43, who died yesterday after suffering a heart attack. A native of Livingston Parish, he had lived in and around Walker all his life and was a member of the Baptist church. Services will be from the residence near Walker at 4 p.m. with last rites to be observed at Vickers Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, the former Yvonne Ballard of Walker; two daughters, Miss Hilda Ruth Covington and Miss Shirley Faye Covington, both of Walker and his father, Pete Covington, of Morgan City.
