"History of the Baltzell Family" by Larry Moore, p. 8:
On August 26, 1829, Anna Mary Baltzell, passed away this day. She was the consort of Jacob Baltzell, beloved mother of Dr. John Baltzell. She had lived in wedlock upwards to 55 years. Mrs. Baltzell, was 76 years, 6 months, 15 days.
Daughter of Abraham Gibbs.

From the Baltimore Gazette and Daily Advertiser of Sept. 3, 1829 citing the Frederick Herald:
"Departed this life on Wednesday morning the 26th instant, in the 77th year of her age, Mrs. Ann Mary Baltzell, consort of Mr. Jacob Baltzell, of this town. The deceased was a native of this place, and lived in wedlock upwards of fifty-five years; which tie, after a lingering indisposition of several months, death at length rent asunder, leaving her aged partner to deplore his irreparable loss. There was a rigid adherence to truth and virtue in all her intercourse through life, and she discharged her relative duties as wife, parent and neighbor with conscientious exactitude. In the various trials and difficulties which she had to encounter in raising a numerous family of children, she found her main support in the consolation of religion. Her nine sons and one surviving daughter can bear testimony to her assiduous care, in inculcating on their infant minds the early lessons of religion and virtue.
"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."aged 77 years
wife of Jacob Baltzell
