Barry C. Worthington, 62, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital.
He was born on October 23, 1957, in Johnstown, Cambria Co., a son of the late Fred C. and Blanche D. (Geyer) Worthington.
Barry was an auto mechanic throughout his life. In the past he worked for Coy’s Garage and most recently, C.R. Motors.
He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Minnequa Social Club, and Hub City Club, all of Shippensburg. Barry enjoyed throwing darts, shooting pool, playing horseshoes and holey board, hunting, and fishing. He liked to watch NASCAR and just about any kind of sports on T.V. Barry was known for being generous with his time to help folks out with their car problems. He loved hanging out with his friends and having a good time. Barry’s pride and joy were his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Shanna Worthington of Newville; three grandchildren, Zander, Breya, and Addisyn, all of Newville; three sisters, Judy Roush and companion Stephen Powell of Carlisle, Patricia Bard of Shippensburg, and Nancy Stouffer and husband Bill of Newville; two brothers, John Worthington and wife Veronica of Chambersburg and Fred Worthington and wife Cathy of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and his twin, Gary.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Air Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
