OBITUARY: Waller Thornton Funeral Home, Trinity TX, 09 Dec 2019
Charles Ainsworth was born January 6, 1927 in Carmona, Texas he was the son of William Isaac and Sarah Sewella Loftin Ainsworth. He passed away December 7, 2019 at the age of 92 in Huntsville, with his family at his side.
Charles was the fourth grandson of Pufero Diez, President of Mexico for 33 years. He married Lanora Scott from Quanah, Texas, she was the love of his life.
Charles proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired in 1968 as a Master Sgt, after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He was responsible for the building of our VWF Post 6899, and he began the start of the Beautiful Memory Wall, at the post while he served as Commander of the post. Charles love to go fishing and he enjoyed playing Dominoes with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Edward and Winston Ainsworth, a sister Audrey Knight and a grandson Robert Sandifer.
Charles will be missed by his loved ones, his wife of a long and happy 67 years, his two children Donna Faye and husband Charles Rowell, Charles Craig and wife Kristen Ainsworth, two grandchildren Charles Collin and Isabella Ainsworth. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many friends. We will treasure his memory in our hearts forever.
