Birtyce Dean Cooperwood, 66, died Dec. 2, 2019, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Services will be at noon Monday at Mt. Pisgah Waverly M.B. Church, with the Rev. Darren Harris Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. today at Carter’s Mortuary Service Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Service of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cooperwood was born May 5, 1953, in West Point, to the late Joseph Douglas and Katie Douglas.
