Ethel Boothe Snell, 93, of Columbia died Friday, April 27, 2001, at the Williamsburg. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Snell was born Jan. 17, 1908, in Fayette to Emmette and Carrie Boothe Fenton. On Dec. 25, 1933, she married John Snell in Columbia, and he preceded her in death.
She was a volunteer for the Pink Ladies at Boone Hospital Center. She was also a member of the Garden Club and Older American Klub.
Survivors include a son, Richard Lee Snell of Columbia.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Harold Fenton, William Cecil Fenton, Adle Fenton and Dale Fenton; and two sisters, Elsie Fenton and Gertrude Fenton.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, Mid-Missouri Chapter, 1121 Businesss Loop 70 E., Columbia, Mo., 65201.
