Joe was a KDS DAR graduate in 1974. He continued his formal education to become a graduate of the University of Alabama in 1979. He education was in the field of Geology. Joe proceeded to us his geology to work in the oil fields and became environmentalist in which he retired after 25 years of work. Joe also had a family business with his wife, “Echota Contracting” in which he did work for business, private sector, and individuals.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doke & Emma Christa McBride and George & Annie Gayle; brothers, Jerry McBride and Johnny McBride. He is survived by his wife, Lori Carol McBride; daughters, Annie Gayle McBride, Emma Christae McBride, Ashly Stapler-Williams, and Rachell Lee Kennemer; sister, Charlene McBride Pace (Billy Earl); and brother, Jimmy “Bo” McBride (Trudy); 5 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 11-3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Barnes officiating. The funeral service will be a private service for his family. A private family only burial will take place at Kelly Chapel Cemetery.
