Daughter of William L. Rowland/Roland and Mary Jane "Jennie" Trammel Rowland. (***Note: her obit says her father was William J. Roland and gave spelling of her maiden name as Roland).
She died in Burnington, NC at her daughter's home (Mrs. Alec Pendergrass)

She was born in Nanthala Twp. of Macon County,NC and raised in Burningtown, Macon County, NC.

She was 18 when she married Charles "Charlie" Richardson Roper (age 21) in Macon County, NC by A. B. Thomas, M.G. in 1888

She was a member of Mt. Sinai Pentecostal Church. She was called "Deely" for a nickname.
