Floyd Dewayne Ayers, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on August 3, 1947 to the late Floyd and Cora Ayers. Floyd was one of 13 children.

He was a loving husband and father. He worked hard all his life at everything he did, from Lee County Deputy to becoming a farmer. Floyd (Wayne) as everyone called him, was everyone's go to guy. He will surely be missed by many.

Floyd is survived by all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also has one loving brother and 2 sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Annie Jane.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, December 6, 2019 at the Morgan Memorial Methodist Church in Rose Hill, VA from 6 until 8:00 pm. The funeral will be conducted from the church on Saturday December 7 at 11:00 am with Rev. Adam Edds officiating. Interment will follow in the Ayers Family Cemetery, Holiness Hollow in Ewing, VA.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
