Corinne L. Boggs, 97, passed away in her daughter’s home on December 2, 2019, after a prolonged illness. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Corinne was born on April 3, 1922, in Garland, Texas, to the late Thomas Jesse and Edna May Murphree Lax. On August 15, 1977, Corinne married Joe Charles "J.C." Boggs in Rockwall. She resided in Garland, Texas, for most of her life, working as a secretary and bookkeeper in Garland for many years. After retiring she went on to volunteer at Memorial Hospital of Garland for 13 years.

Corinne was a kind and loving person always wanting to help others. Her compassion for others brightened many lives. She had a great love for her bird, Big Boy, and all the many dogs she had over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe "J.C." Boggs; and sisters, Olene Shaw and Christine Bickle.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Boggs and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Charlene Johnson and her husband, Bill; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. W5
