Frank E. Wardrip, age 83, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

Frank was born November 4, 1936 in Rock Haven (Meade Co.), KY to the late Willie E. Wardrip, Sr. and Mary Magdalene (Shrewsbury) Ross. His brothers, James H. Wardrip and Willie E. Wardrip and sister, Martha Benham also preceded him in death.

Frank was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and proud United States Marine Corp Veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Knox after over 30 years of service and retired from the Loyal Order of the Moose Auditing Department after 15 years of service. He was a member of Chapter 3 DAV in Elizabethtown, KY, enjoyed the fellowship at the Meade County Senior Citizens Center, and loved his family. Frank was a wonderful dad, granddad, and great-granddad who will be missed.

He is survived by six children: Vickie (Galon) Outland of Brandenburg, KY; Ricky E. Wardrip of Brandenburg; Darlene (Doug) York of Brandenburg; James (Reneé) Wardrip of Elizabethtown, KY; Susan W. Rhodes of Brandenburg; and Dee (Dwayne) Frank of Brandenburg; 8 grandchildren: Scott Batchelder, Sean Hagan, T.J. Farmer, Jimmy Wardrip, Chad Wardrip, Courtney and Chelsey Frank, and Emilee Rhodes; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM EST from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rock Haven Methodist Cemetery.
