He was born Oct. 5, 1916 in Scipio, Utah, a son of Orville H. and Mae Walters Thompson.
On Jan. 29, 1945, he married Alanna Mason in Richfield, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Manti Temple.
He had formerly worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Defense Depot Ogden.
He was a high priest in the 85th LDS Ward, where he had served as a home teacher and formerly as an assistant Scout master.
He was a member P.A.A.G. rehabilitation group.
Surviving are his widow of Ogden, his mother of Ogden, a brother and two sisters, Frank Thompson, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Long, and Mrs. Alfred (Carole) Peterson, all of Ogden.
Funeral services will be announced by Myers Mortuary in Ogden."
