David Mac Kelly passed away at home on June 20, 2007. He was born February 28, 1945 to James Ordell and Fern Greenwood Kelly, both deceased. As a youth he was active in the LDS Church and was involved in scouting and playing sports in the McKinley Ward and graduated from seminary. He graduated from South High School in 1963, attended Dixie College, then Weber State College on a baseball scholarship and graduated from Weber in 1970. David married Barbara Webster in 1968. Although later divorced, they remained friends. David worked for Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department for nine years. He worked at Fairmont, Nibley, Murray and Wing Point Golf Courses. He enjoyed skiing in the winter, golf in the summer and playing cards with his buddies (as he endearingly called them) all year long. He had a close relationship with many members of the Golden Eagles Hockey team. He was devoted to his friends and family. He is survived by his brother, James Patrick Kelly (Chloe Ann), two nieces and three nephews and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray. A viewing will be held Saturday 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment at American Fork Cemetery.
