She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred W. Johnson; sons, Duane and Bob Johnson; brothers, Clarence and harry Totman; and sister, May Kaintz.
She was born on Nov 15, 1919 to Fred L and Bessie (Waggoner) Totman in Winthrop. She attended Winthrop public schools. She married Fred W. Johnson on June 9, 1937 in Bernodotte Township, Nicollet County. The couple farmed -the Johnson family farm in Bernadotte. They moved to Transit Township where they farmed until retiring and moving to Winthrop in 1970. She continued to live in Winthrop after her husband's death until moving to Spearfish SD in the late 1990's
She was a member of Falls United Church and United Women's in Winthrop. She was a member of Winthrop Nutrition Site Council and was on the Winthrop Senior Citizens Board. She also helped organize a Meals on Wheels program for the Winthrop area. She and her husband taught square dancing and round dancing and belonged to local square dancing clubs and Polka Lovers of America Club.
