Penny S. Gordon, 64, a life long Rush County area resident, passed away November 13, 2019 in Indianapolis. Penny was born June 29, 1955 in Rushville to Clyde Norman & Delories Mae (Lepper) Copple. She was a 1973 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. She married William R. Gordon on July 21, 1974 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2006.
Penny was a long time member & secretary of the Arlington Christian Church. She loved her church, her kids & grandkids and she loved to read.
She is survived by her mother, Delories Copple of Shelbyville, her children, Matthew (Joni) Gordon of Indianapolis and Katie Gordon of Greenfield, her siblings, Bruce (Paula) Copple of Greensburg and Nancy (David) Tucker of Rushville and her grandchildren, Jarrod & Jonathan White, Jake & Lydia Gordon, Grace & Mollie McLaughlin and Ivy & Jace Workman. She was preceded in death by her father & husband.
Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Fred Hickman and Gary Holt presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the mortuary on Monday evening, November 18, 2019 from 4-8PM. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arlington Christian Church or to the Mahoning Valley Christian Service Camp.
