Albin J. Wegner
Wegner, Albin J. 64, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Loyola University Hospital. Born to Albin F. and Dorothy R. (nee Pietraszewski) Wegner, Albin was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. Albin had three families whom he loved dearly - his immediate, his work and his church. For 22 years, he was a member of the Loyola University Medical Center Pastoral Care where as Chaplain he provided faith to all with whom he came in contact. St. Michael's Parish was Albin's calling as Deacon - in May of this year, he would have celebrated his 25th anniversary with the Parish. Albin was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, great uncle and friend. His life was blessed and he shared that blessing with so many throughout his lifetime. Albin was preceded in death by his father, Albin F. Wegner, both grandfathers and grandmothers, several uncles and aunts and a niece and nephew. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy, sisters, Judith (Ron) Powers and Joyce (late Dave) Weaver and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. directly at St. Michael Church 8300 S. South Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60617 and Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
