Mrs. Kipi was a well known kamaaina, survived by the widower, Samuel Paalua Kipi, seven children, Anna , Hattie, Cecelia, Dorothy, Sam Jr., Capt. Henry Kipi of the Kalihi Fire Station and Hilda Kalama, and three grandchildren.

Hilda Kalama, name changed to Hilda Paalua, hanai/adopted daughter of Lizzie and Sam.

There are two obituaries for her, one has her as, Mrs. Lizzie K. Paalua and the other, Mrs. Lizzie Kipi. Lizzie, husband, Samuel and family were aka Paalua or Kipi.
