MRS. ELIZA ANN BORING DIES. Was in her 80th year-lived to see five generations of descendants. Mrs. Eliza Ann Boring, a resident of Watseka for more than 40 years, died yesterday at the home of her son James Boring in her 80th year. Aside from the infirmities incident to her advanced age, she had for the past several months been confined to her bed with a broken hip caused by a fall last July.
Mrs. Boring's maiden name was Parkes and she was born in Ohio. She was one of a family of 12 children, only 2 of whom survive, Mrs. Emeline Allen of Milford and Mrs. Sarah Coon of Nebraska. She was married twice, married her first husband being WILLIAM HOBAUGH. Three children were born to this union, George of Georgetown, Mrs. Mary Ann Thompson and William Hobaugh of Milford. Two years after the death of her first husband she was married to Daniel Boring. Of this marriage there were 4 children, 2 of whom survive, Mrs. George Trumble and James Boring of Watseka. Mrs. Boring had the unusual distinction of being the eldest member of a family of 5 generations. She left 5 children, 34 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Cope of the Friends Church. Burial will be at Oak Hill.
