Mr. Hammock
James Baker Hammock, 75, Park Manor Nursing Home, Tuscaloosa, died Wednesday in Tuscaloosa.
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Helen H. Hammock; daughter, Ms. Sally Hammock, Atlanta, Georgia; sons, Mac Hammock, Tuscaloosa, Robert Hammock, Los Alamo, New Mexico, John Hammock, Gadsden, Jim Hammock, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ken Hammock, Albertville.
Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial in Forrest Cemetery.
Other survivors: 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Ralph Mackey, W.C. Jordan, C.F. Peace, Charles Tinsley, Johnnie Campmire, Earlie Jones.
Mr. Hammock was a native of Conyers, Georgia, and a resident of Gadsden for 25 years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Hammock was manager of the Gadsden office of Life Insurance Company of Virginia prior to his retirement. The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
