Lyndell Dean "Corky" Godfrey, 75, of Pampa, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on November 25, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Services to honor and celebrate Corky's life will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 29, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Paul Beam, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, and Minister Michael Keough, grandson, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Corky was born February 4, 1944, to Ralph and Naedean Burger Godfrey in Pratt, Kansas. On February 17, 2001, he married Vivian Malone at First Baptist Church in Pampa, Texas, where they have been happily married for 18 years.

Corky graduated from Wayland Baptist University and was highly invested in supporting the "Walk to Emmaus" retreats. He was a project engineer for Celanese, transferring to Pampa, from Houston, in the late 1970's. He retired in 2000 after 35 years of employment at Celanese. He also did contract work for Open Range Engineering until 2009.

Corky was also a strong Republican and proud of it. He married his first wife, Sheila Terrel, and they had two children together. Later, he married his second wife Linda Madonia with her two children, until she preceded him in death.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved woodworking, traveling, fishing and being around his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Naedean Godfrey, two brothers, Jim and Darrel Godfrey and a daughter, Jennifer Colleen Malone in 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Godfrey of Pampa; two sons, Kent Godfrey of Dallas and Greg Malone and wife, Jeanine of Pampa; three daughters, Kala Fields of Deer Park, Tammie Keough of Schenectady, New York and Donna Corbin of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Cherie Fields Payne of Weatherford, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Michael Keough and wife, Emily of Amarillo, Kristen McNeaney and husband, Brian, Kira Steverson and husband, RJ, all of Schenectady, New York, Cody Corbin and wife, Kacey and Haley Corbin, all of Denver, Colorado, Tyler Malone and wife, Ramie of Pampa, Avery Malone of Amarillo, and Kirbee Fields of Deer Park; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Conner, Wyatt, Reagan and Gracelyn.
