Ruthie Lee Tidwell, 90, of Temple, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, in a Temple Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton will officiate.

Mrs. Tidwell was born August 3, 1929 near Rosebud to Thomas A. and Edna Mae Polk. She grew up in the Cedar Springs community and lived in Temple since 1968. She married John A. Tidwell on April 19, 1977 and worked at American Desk and Temple Products. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Nelson Parker and Edward Lewis Parker.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Tidwell of Temple, two sons, Garry Parker of Leander, and Michael Parker of Cedar Park, one brother, Nelson Edward(Butch) Polk of Cedar Springs, four sisters, Lorene Burns of Houston, Mildred(Joey)Cleckler of Tyler, Marjorie Cernoch of Illinois, and Lulabelle Whitman of Montana, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Powers Chapel Cemetery Association.
