W.L. (Fate) Sanders went home to be with the Lord November 19, 2019.
He was born in Dexter, NM on June 23, 1943 to William and Blanche Sanders. He was the youngest of 9 children.
Upon completing Seminary, he began his journey of being a Pastor through Texas and New Mexico. He settled in Lordsburg, NM and later became an EMT.
In 2008, he moved to Roswell to be closer to his family. He loved spending time with his family, they were his pride and joy jn life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his 3 children: Denise and her husband, DW Winchester; Jared and his wife, Vanessa; and Timothy; 5 grandchildren: Aundrea and her husband, Matthew Sanford; Anastacia and her husband, Brian Price; Trevor, Jacob, and Justus; 3 great-grandchildren: Savannah Price, Shellie Sanford and Mitchell Sanford.
Those there to greet him were both his parents William and Blanche, his siblings-Rose, Virgil, Leslie, Wesley, Frankie,,Mitchell, Bett, and Jack and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Last but not least his fur friends Wolf and Buddy.
A graveside celebration will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: DW Winchester, Matthew Sanford, Tim Skelton, Robbie Bivens, Trevor Sanders and Jacob Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justus Sanders, Savannah Price, Shellie Sanford and Mitchell Sanford.
