Carl Albert Martin was born August 11, 1938, in Cedar County, the son of Albert and Lillian (Straub) Martin. He graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1957. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He married June Gustava Cook. June preceded him in death on April 9, 2018. He worked as a laborer all of his life.
Surviving are one brother, Ronald (Dixie) Martin of Tipton; one sister-in-law, Alice Martin of Iowa City; one brother-in-law, Robert Rickard of Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, Lavelle Martin, Lorraine Petersen and Betty Rickard, one brother, Lavelle Martin, one niece, Mayanne Martin and three nephews, Kerry and Terry Martin and Dennis Petersen.
