Jackie Ray Ballew, age 62, of Duck Creek Road, Lenoir, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at his residence.
He was born June 2, 1957 in Buncombe County to the late William Jackie and Margaret Cordell Ballew.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Sexton.
Mr. Ballew was a self-employed electrician and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in West Asheville, NC.
Survivors include two brothers, Teddy Sexton of Eugene, Oregon and Gary Sexton of Clemmons, NC; and three sisters, Ruth Moore and Carolyn Bustle, both of Asheville, NC and Kay Coyne of Candler, NC.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Mr. Ballew Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakwood Presbyterian Church, 3665 Deerbrook Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
