Mrs. DELLA MAE COOPER ADAMS is the daughter of Emmett Cooper and Mrs. Fannie Watson Cooper.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Della Mae Adams will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Peoples Funeral Home chapel with Dr. B.D. Hines officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Garden Cemetery under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home. Ms. Adams died Sunday, July 14, 1991, at Good Shepherd Medical Center, in Longview, after a long illness. She was born October 2, 1921, in Jefferson, a daughter of Fannie and Emmitt Cooper. He had lived in Lansing, Michigan, before moving back to Longview two years ago. She attended Jefferson public schools and Prairie View A&M University. She was employed by General Motors in Lansing, Michigan, and she was a member of Paradise Baptist Church, of Lansing, Michigan. She married Bobbie C. Adams on June 1, 1944, in Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one sister, Emma Lois Cooper. Survivors include one son, Bobby C. Adams, Jr., of Lansing, Michigan; one daughter, Bonnie Kay Adams, of Longview and Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Marie Cooper, of Oakland, California; two nephews, James H. Cooper and Randall L. Cooper, of San Jose, California; one niece, Wendy Herndon, of San Jose, California; a sister and brothers-in-law, George and Lena Adams, Reta M. Sanders, Alyce Chevalier, all of Longview, and Rubye Williams and Milton Williams, both of Marshall; two grandsons, Angelo Adams and Sorrae Adams, both of Lansing, Michigan; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins."
