Fremont Bride

FREMONT — The marriage of Miss Nancy Louise Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harland C. Jensen, and David Bengston Downing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Downing of Superior, was solemnized Friday evening at First Presbyterian church (sic).

Dr. Ralph V. Gilbert officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony in the presence of 150 guests.

The bride wore a gown of white chantilly lace and nylon net styled with a high neckline and an illusion yoke edged with appliques of lace and delicate beading. The dress was the one which her sister, Mrs. George Marvin, wore at her wedding. The net skirt fell beneath a redingote of lace which tapered into a train.

Her mantilla veil was of chantilly lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and glamlias.

Maid of honor was Miss Patricia Hintz, who was gowned in velvet and nylon net in the copper tone. The bridesmaids, Mrs. George Marvin of Beatrice and Miss Genene Jensen, sisters of the bride, and Miss Diane Downing of Superior, sister of the bridegroom, wore alike frocks of sapphire blue.

Robert Downing of Superior his brother's best man. Ushers were Alan Jensen, Joseph Martin of Grand Island and William Hein, jr., of Alliance.

Immediately following the reception at the Pathfinder hotel, the couple left for a wedding trip to Colorado.
