PARAGOULD -- Geraldine Lewis, 84, of Paragould died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1922, to Marvin and Pearl Haynes in Randolph County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noah "Pete" Lewis, in 2001; two sisters, Jewel Craig and Edwina Hollis; and one brother, Marvin Hancel Haynes.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Minnie Fortenberry of Mantee, Miss., Bill and Joy Fortenberry of Paragould, Robert and Becky Fortenberry of Columbus, Miss., and Carey and Donna Fortenberry of Little Rock; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Dowler and Faye and Doyne Shaw, both of Paragould.
She is also survived by nine grandsons, Kevin, Roger, Keith and Layne Fortenberry, Steve, Scott and Tracy Dowler, and Todd and Cory Shaw; five granddaughters, April, Angie and Robin Fortenberry, Tammy White and Kelley Wall; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mitchell Funeral Home at Paragould with Kim Bridges officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in Mitchell Funeral Home.
