A retired merchant and resident of New Roads, he died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital, New Roads. He was 95 and a native of Fort Adams, Miss. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Roads, noon until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Interment in False River Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Madeline T. D'Aquila, New Roads; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Vickie D'Aquila, New Roads, Vincent and Antoinette D'Aquila, Mandeville, and Thomas and Dolores D'Aquila, Morganza; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent D'Aquila; four brothers and two sisters. Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, in charge of arrangements.
