Mr. Boyd was born Dec 5,1919 in Checotah, Oklahoma., son of the late Benjamin H. Boyd and Minnie H. Boyd.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a Mason, a Lion and Baptist.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Jo Eva Combs Boyd of Charleston Heights ; a son Robert A. Boyd Jr. of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Nancy Lee Moore of Richland , of Wash .; a brother Virgil Boyd of Texas; a sister Nadine Lackey of Checotah; four grandchildren.
