Mrs. Kay Deuster of Norton Shores died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at a local hospital. Kay was born June 2, 1943 to Ottie and Pearl (Wierengo) Cross in Muskegon. She was a 1961 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. On February 23, 1963 Kay married Leo M. Deuster. She was employed by GTE as an accountant and instructor for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Kay was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, The Muskegon Genealogy Society and Friends of Mona View, where she helped with the upkeep and also helped in identifying and honoring of veteran's graves. Kay was well known for photographing markers and transcribing several Muskegon County cemeteries, leaving a treasured legacy for others.
