Mrs. Dubose worked at Furman Middle School. She received her education from Manchester High School, graduating in 1973. Barbara was a member of Zion Hill AME Church in Pinewood, SC.
Barbara had a genuine love for everyone; she just loved people and always helped where she could.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband of 40 years, Moses Dubose; two sons, Moses Jermaine Dubose and Sherman (Tina) Green; three daughters: Mercy (Ron) Turner, Julia Dubose, Jacqueline (Lawrence) Green; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a nephew, who lives in the home, Jerome Brown; sisters: Emma Lee Taylor, Brenda Ellison, Rebecca Crosby, Jarnell Dubose, Carolyn (Brooks) Thomas, Roberta Barnes, and Christine Wilder; brothers-in-law, Henry Dubose and Matthew Dubose; sisters-in-law: Carrie Ann (Hazel) Budden, Rose Henderson, Margaret Wright; two aunts, Gwen Lang and Carmen (Joseph) Walton; one uncle, George Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Dubose will be placed in the church on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services: Zion Hill AME Church 7665 Milford Plantation Road Pinewood, SC 29125, with Rev. Melissa Stephens Officiating, and Rev. Duwine Sinkler, Eulogist.
Interment: Manning Cemetery.
