- Marshalltown IA Times-Republican, Marshalltown IA, 09Oct1916 - Obituary - Pierson - Ellis Francis, the 7-weeks-old son of Frank E Pierson, died Saturday night at 7 o'clock at the home of his aunt, Mrs Bruce Hendrix, 108 1/2 West Linn street, from convulsions, caused by stomach trouble. The babe was born Aug 20. The mother died Sept 27 from organic heart disease, following the birth of her babe. Funeral services were held at 1:30 this afternoon from the Bruce Hendrix home, in charge of Rev F M Wheeler, and burial was in the Iowa River cemetery by the side of the mother.
