Myles S. Adams passed away peacefully March 8, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born April 30, 1924 to Sidney and Barbara in Montgomery, Alabama. He was the youngest of three children, Olga Louise and Sidney (both deceased). He grew up fast, having to drop out of high school to help support the family during the Depression years. He married his one true love and soul mate Edna Pollard on Feb. 13, 1943. Only a month after marriage he was drafted into WWII. He served four years in the Army as a medic and M.P. He was stationed in South Africa, Italy and Fort Hood, Texas. After the war, he came home and pursued his career as a machinist and attended college to become an electrician. They have two children, Sherry (Richard) Hutsell and Wayne (Linda deceased). His career choices took him from Alabama to El Paso, Texas, and in 1974 to Grantsville, Utah. Myles loved working with his hands, in his spare time you would find him building in his wood shop or faceting and polishing rocks. Myles retired from Amax in 1986. Then he and Edna toured the country in their motor home for a couple of years. Myles is survived by his wife of 72 years and his two children, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
