Date of birth per baptismal record. Death certificate says 1844 rather than 1850.

Per death certificate, carpenter by trade until 1923. However census returns show him as working both as a joiner/carpenter and as a farmer/gardener.

Saint John Daily News, Wed 21 Nov 1883: "d. 20th inst., Phoebe Almira WOOD w/o Jacob S. WOOD, age 25, left husband, three children. GLOBE: Funeral from her residence, Westmorland Road, Saint John." - Source: Daniel F Johnson's New Brunswick Newspaper Vital Statistics. Note that she died six days after the birth of her youngest child.

Jacob died at daughter Elizabeth's home in Mispec, but residence at time of death was 122 Rothesay Avenue, Saint John. Died of cerebral hemorrhage.
