Johanna and Johann Hermann Dornbusch were married in Fayette County, TX 8 Oct 1889. About 1900, Johanna and family moved to the Detmold community in Milam county, TX

The petition of Johann Hermann Dornbusch hereby filed, respectfully showeth:
First: My place of residence is Sandoval, (Thorndale R.F.D. No. 1)
Second: My occupation is farmer
Third: I was born on the 25th day of May anno Domini 1863 at Oldenburg, Germany
Fourth: I emigrated to the United States from Antwerp, Germany on or about the 30th day of August anno Domini 1884, and arrived in the United States at the port for New York, on the 12th day of September anno Domini 1884, on the vessel Ri-----(unreadable, needs research).
Fifth: I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on the 27th day of June, anno Domini 1887 at La Grange in the court of Fayette
Sixth: I am (yes) married. My wife's name is Johana Dornbusch. She was born in Fayette County, and now resides at Sandoval

I have 7 Children and the name, date and place of residence of each of said children is as follows:

Ledia, born 27th December 1889 Fayette county, resides near Thorndale, Milam county, TX (NOTE: Ledia name was later spelled LYDIA). Since her father, Johann, was a German immigrant, he may have spelled her name the way it would have been in German. However, she later spelled her name the anglican way, which would have be LYDIA.

Minnie born 17th July 1891, Fayette county TX, resides Thrall, Williamson county TX

Johana, born 12th April 1893, Fayette county, TX resides Sandoval, Williamson county TX

Elenore, born 6th April 1896 in Fayette County, TX and resides Thorndale, Milam county, TX

Antonia born 20th of March, 1898, Fayette county, TX and resides Sandoval, Williamson county, TX

Annie born 20th of February 1900 Fayette county, TX and resides Sandoval, Williamson county, TX

Emma born 4th October 1904 Williamson county, TX and resides Sandoval, Williamson county, TX

Seventh: It is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce absolutely and forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereign and particularly to William II German Emperor of whom at this time I am a subject and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States.
