Dorothy M. Samson, 84, formerly of Eaton, died Thursday, March 17, 1994, at a Columbus nursing home.
Born Oct. 30, 1909, in Pike County, a daughter of the late William H. and Addie Grover Rockwell, she was a former member of the Eaton Kiwaniannes and Eaton Home Garden Club. She attended Wilmington College and taught in a one-room school in Pike County, She retired in 1972 from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 30 years' service in the clerical department.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Samson, Sept. 11, 1987, she is survived by two sons, Clifton R. Samson of Ventura, Calif., and John W. Samson of Amlin; a daughter, Nancy McKee of Wilmington; a brother, Eugene Rockwell of Lucasville; a sister, Alice Murray of Dayton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Leslie Rockwell.
Services will be held at 10 a. m. Monday at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 East Main St., Eaton, with the Rev. Richard Boroff and the Rev. Clifton R. Samson officiating, and graveside services at 3 p.m. Monday at Stockdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
