Mr. Sackett died July 23, 1982 in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Nebraska and worked as a tool and die maker until he retired.
He came to Mesa 10 years ago from Portland, Ore. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Jo; sons LaVon and Douglas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
