Robert Gene Heflin, 78 of Rockford, TN, passed away November 6, 2019.

Born February 10, 1941 in Boaz, Alabama, he served in the Army from 1959 until 1962, and was retired from ALCOA. Bob was a dedicated member of VFW Post 5154 in Louisville and served as Post Commander from 1994-1998.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dana Heflin and Barbara Burns Heflin of Boaz, Alabama.

Survived by wife of 38 years, Doris Edgar Heflin; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Freida Heflin; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jackie Gary; five children, Terry Hardin, Randy Heflin, Cherie Costa, Teresa Lambdin and Curtis Adams; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home Pastor Timothy Townsend officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Alcoa, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516).
