Memorial services for Jewel Ralph Ball, 82, of Alba, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Ball died on Monday, December 19, 2011, at his residence. He was bom May 19, 1929, in Sevierville, Tennessee, to William Pinkney and Etta Loveday Ball.
He married Zoe Ella Black on May 12, 1950, in Houston and lived most of his life in the Houston area prior to moving to Alba 31 years ago. He was a member of a brick mason’s union and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Zoe Ella Ball of Alba; daughters, Virginia Haley and Deborah Kaye Bruning both of Huntsville; grandson, Randall Ralph Digges of Houston; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee
Digges of Houston.
Mr. Ball was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.
