A Memorial Service for Stanley was held on Saturday, November 9, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor Julie Greyerbiehl of First United Methodist Church officiating. A luncheon followed the service in the Reflections Reception Center.

Stanley was the son of Stanley and Tessie (Sisco) Pridgeon. He graduated from Barryton High School in the Class of 1952. Stanley married Joyce Carr on July 2, 1955. He was an L.P.N. and social worker technician for the State of Michigan in the mental health field for over 32 years, retiring in 1988. Stanley was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also served as a Stephen Minister, a hospital chaplain, and took the walk to Emmaus. He was a charter member of the Mt. Pleasant Area Historical Society and played music with the Back Porch Pickers and many different musical groups. He was a past member of the Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Club. Stan and Joyce travelled all of the United States on his motorcycle and recently with their motorhome.
Stanley is survived by his spouse, Joyce Ann Pridgeon of Mt. Pleasant; children Deborah J. Pridgeon and wife Rickie McCullough and Gregory Pridgeon and his wife Jacqui, both of Mt. Pleasant; and his sister’s children Brian Tice, Ronda Schlarf, and Chris Merchant.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carolyn Tice.
