She was an avid bowler and organized many bowling leagues. Violet was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Stiemke, of Mequon, WI; a brother, Hugh (Jean) Lambert, of Dubuque; two grandchildren, Mark and Laura Stiemke, of Mequon; and a dear friend, John Schneider, of Dubuque.
Memorials may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
