Kathryn Seifert, 86, of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. She was born in Sepulpa, OK and the daughter of the late George & Odee Hendren Bloom.
Kathryn attended Southern Illinois University. Alongside her husband, she founded Tex-Tenn Corp. in Gray, TN in 1981 where she worked in Marketing. She enjoyed serving on the Foundation Board of Dawn of Hope, Board of Trustees for Greene Valley Developmental Center and Parent Guardian Association of Greene Valley. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of Johnson City.
Kathryn is survived by her husband of 37 years: C. John "Johnny" Seifert; Daughters: Patricia Tierney Kidd, of Kentucky, Susan Tierney-Miller, of Johnson City, Mary K. Tierney, of California, Margaret Tierney, of Greeneville: Step Sons: John C. Seifert, of New York, James C. Seifert, of California; Sisters: Karolyn Reiswig and husband, Robert, of New Mexico; Six Grandchildren; One Great Grandchild; Several Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathleen Tierney; Grandson: Jamie Kidd; Son-in-Law: Donald Nash.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 1st, 2010, at Tetrick Funeral Services with Father Akata officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of Service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Dawn of Hope, The Parent Guardian Foundation at PO Box 910 Greeneville, TN 37744.
