Ricky Lee Louis Tuecke, age 61, of Guttenberg, Iowa, died at ManorCare nursing home in Dubuque, Iowa on November 3rd, 2019 after fighting a long battle of COPD.
He was born on January 27th, 1958 at the Riverview Hospital in Guttenberg Iowa, the son of Jean (Bissell) and Delmar Tuecke. Ricky grew up being the oldest of three children. Ricky graduated high school from Minot North Dakota High School in 1976.
He spent most of his working career at Iowa Turkey Products in Postville, Iowa for thirteen years. He also worked at Scenic Acres for a while in the kitchen.
Ricky was united in marriage with Lola Brincks on June 20th, 1986 and divorced Lola in the year of 1999.
Ricky loved to go fishing, hiking, and camping. He liked watching the green bay packers play football.
After Ricky became disabled, he enjoyed playing card games, playing games on a phone and computer, and he loved doing wood work projects and making hat on a loom. He also did some sewing.
He absolutely loved visits from his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish the memories of Ricky are his two daughters Rebecca (Shayne Warnke) Tuecke age 28 of Luana, Iowa and Nicole Tuecke age 22 of Burlington, Iowa. His grandkids Ashton Knickerbocker age 7 of Clermont, Iowa and Crystal Tuecke age 5 of Luana, Iowa. His sister Susan (Randy) Tindal of Brownsdale, Minnesota and a brother James (Teresa) Tuecke of Oelwein, Iowa. Also, his Ex-wife Lola Brincks (Larry Krugger) age 52 of Luana, Iowa.
Ricky was proceeded in death by his parents; and his son Charles Tuecke. Ricky will be dearly missed.
Graveside Burial Service will be held Saturday, November 23 at 10 a.m. at the Guttenberg City Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will follow from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Farmersburg Community Center.
