Geneva enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She enjoyed country music, but had a special love for the music of George Jones. She was a friend to all and many of the neighborhood and would make anyone feel welcome in her home.
She leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Dennie L. Hopkins; two children, Brian Hopkins (wife, Catonya) of Saratoga, IN and Patty Hopkins Day (husband, Leslie) of Arlington, IN; two brothers, Wayne and Walter DeWitt, both of Kentucky; three sisters, LouJean Willis (husband, John) of Knightstown, IN, Betty Jean DeWitt of Kentucky, Ruby Barnes (husband, Charles) of Indiana and Bonnie Robertson of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Derrick Day, Daniel Day, Conagher Hopkins, Trent Mamazza, Ashley Shouse and Sara Davis; two great grandchildren, Trenton Mamazza and Karigan Mamazza; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Steven DeWitt; and three sisters, Joyce Conley, Josephine Hinshaw, Beverly Sue Wilburn.
A service to celebrate Geneva's life will be 12 noon Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 10 am to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice of Portland, IN.
