Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the S. J. Conway & Son Funeral Home for Bert Felix, 64, of Johnstown R. D. 5, Edgewood, who died Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Mr. Felix collapsed Saturday afternoon while watching a group of friends stake out a plot of ground at his home and was pronounced dead on arrival at Lee Homeopathic Hospital at 3:45 p.m. Deputy Coroner John Strank said death was due to a heart attack. Apparently in good health the deceased had worked as usual Thursday night at the Knob Backery, where he was employed for the past month as a fireman. He previously worked at the Hilltop Nursery.
Born in Lower Yoder Township on July 11, 1878, Mr. Felix was a son of Daniel and Harriet (Marker) Felix. He is the survived by his widow, Mrs. Arvilla (Hess) Felix, and 10 children---Clifford Lee Felix, Chicago; Irene, wife of Dr. Oscar Sprecker, Chicago; Jane, wife of Harold Penrod, West Howard Street; Arletta, wife of Earl Rager, Tanneryville; Florence, wife of John Lonas Jr., Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Lester, Bessie Lou and Geraldine Felix, all at home. There are 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Felix was a brother of Mrs. Lilly Lecky and Mrs. Michael Morris, both of Lower Yoder Township; Mrs. August Slagle, Geistown; Mrs. Joseph Rosage, State College, And Mrs. Terry Morris, Pittsburg. NAME also seen as Trabert.
